Annual Wellness Exam
Once a year, we encourage all patients to have a routine health exam to evaluate overall health. This includes recommended screenings and immunizations. We strive to understand the whole patient and their individual needs and values, both mentally and physically. These are also opportunities to discuss recommendations for activity, vitamins, and other supplements based on individual needs.
Child Wellness Exams
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends routine wellness visits for all children and we at Life Long Care of New London support these guidelines. They are opportunities to evaluate your child’s overall health and growth as well as discuss anticipated changes and needs of the child in the next stage of growth and development. We support childhood immunizations and do support the values of all parents and guardians, regardless of vaccination status.
Medicare Annual Wellness Visit
Medicare encourages all patients to participate in a ‘Welcome to Medicare’ visit during their first 12 months of initial enrollment. Beyond that, they encourage an annual visit with their primary care provider to address recommended screenings and immunizations as well as discuss advanced care planning and appropriate testing. Our providers support this recommendation and the theory that screenings and early detection with advanced age can allow for best possible outcomes.
DOT Exams
We offer Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations conducted by a licensed medical examiner listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry. Life Long Care of New London currently offers these specialty exams for existing clients only.
